Blue Cross/Blue Shield National Capital Area administers the Medical Plan.
The Medical Plan includes Dental and discount Vision Care.
Employees may chose to waive medical coverage and enroll in the
dental plan separately.
Employee pays 0% - 30% of medical premium.
Flexible Benefits Plan
Allows employees to redirect a portion of their income to cover dependent child care expenses and un-reimbursed medical, dental and vision care expenses, on a pre-tax basis .
Employees may contribute up to $1000 annually into a Healthcare Spending account and up to $5000 annually for a Dependent Care Spending Account.
Any monies left in the account at the end of the plan year are forfeited.
The PRO-telligent 401(k) Plan allows employees to set aside income (pre-tax dollars) for the purpose of saving for retirement. Eligibility to contribute begins immediately upon employment. PRO-telligent will match 50% of the employee's first 6% of contributions (a total of 3%) after six (6) months.
A 401 (k) account you have with a previous employer may be rolled over immediately.
Employee Referral Program
Because of the value we place on employees, PRO-telligent always appreciates receiving resumes of potential applicants sent to us from current employees. We find that individuals referred to PRO-telligent by employees share the same strong work ethic and professionalism as the existing employee. To demonstrate the emphasis we place on these referrals, PRO-telligent has developed an Employee Referral Bonus Program.
If you refer a candidate to PRO-telligent for an eligible position and your referral is hired and remains with PRO-telligent for six months (180 days), you will be eligible for the referral bonus. Bonuses are paid within thirty days after the referred employee completes the first six months of employment. You must be an employee of PRO-telligent at the time of referral and when the bonus is received. No bonus will be paid for hirees that directly report to the employee.
Employee Referral Bonuses are $500. Special circumstances (hard to fill positions, special clearances, etc., may result in a higher bonus being paid. A PRO-telligent Officer will determine this. Human Resources personnel and Officers of the Company are not eligible for the Employee Referral Bonus.
Employee Bonus Program
PRO-telligent has a two-tier bonus program. Employees may earn a monetary bonus, should their Government or Contract supervisor/manager recommend them for such, or a PTO Certificate entitling an employee to one day off, with pay. This day is not chargeable to the employee's PTO balance. The PTO Certificate is for one-time acts above an employee's normal job requirements.
PRO-telligent strongly encourages employee career development by providing a liberal training program. Assistance is provided for college courses related to job, training courses related to job, and certification programs related to job.
Employees are reimbursed for the tuition cost of college course(s) if an acceptable grade is earned ("C" for undergraduate courses, "B" for graduate courses). Calendar year limits apply. There is a six-month period before an employee is eligible for education reimbursement. The only classes that will be eligible for the reimbursement program will be the classes that begin after the six-month period. All classes must be pre-approved by Human Resources.
Certification test costs are reimbursed after Human Resources receive written notification of a passing grade. All other training costs are pre-paid by PRO-telligent. Employees who leave the Company within a year after receiving the reimbursement will be expected to re-pay the cost of their training.
Personal Time Off
This leave policy includes vacation, sick days, and any personal days off. **Please refer to the Personal Time Off section under Employee Leave for additional information.**

Life Insurance and Accidental Death and Disability
The PRO-telligent Basic Life/AD&D Plan automatically provides coverage equal to 2.0 times an employee's annual base salary, not to exceed $300,000, at no cost to the employee.
Short Term and Long Term Disability
Both short-term (for the period of day 31 through day 89) and long-term disability (from day 90 to 180) insurance is given, at no cost, to all PRO-telligent employees. This insurance covers any disability not covered by workmen's compensation. At the time of the illness or injury you must apply for coverage, it does not start automatically.
PRO-telligent will pay up to $75.00 (seventy-five) per month for employees to use public transportation, if parking is not provided at your duty station. Metrocheks will not be given during periods of PTO, extended absences or LWOP.
Payment is made through direct deposit into a checking or savings account with a financial institution of your choice, except that the first paycheck is paid through an individual check mailed to the employee. Paychecks may be divided up into a maximum of three (3) accounts.
