Arlington, VA – March 4, 2008 - PRO-telligent, LLC announced today the promotion of Craig N. Chretien to Vice President/General Manager of the newly formed Strategic Services Division. Mr. Chretien came to PRO-telligent after a distinguished, 25-year career with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) including the role as the Assistant Administrator of Intelligence, one of the most senior executive level positions within the agency, and prior to that as the Chief of International Operations responsible for all DEA activities in 52 offices overseas. He also served in management positions in Baltimore, San Diego, DEA Headquarters, the Office of Training as well as resident assignments in Brazil, Bolivia and Peru. Immediately after his retirement from DEA Mr. Chretien held several senior positions in the private sector as Vice President of the second largest alarm company in the U.S. and subsequently as Vice President of an investigative consulting firm based on California.
As a PRO-telligent senior manager, Mr. Chretien recently completed an 18-month project for the U.S Department of State as the Deputy Director of the Counter Narcotics Task Force at the U.S. Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan. There he assisted the U.S. Ambassador, the State Department’s Bureau of International Law Enforcement and other US agencies in the development and implementation of counter narcotics policies and guidelines of U.S. government programs.
He has written and consulted for various movie and television projects since his retirement from DEA and was the Technical Consultant for the Oscar award-winning movie Traffic.
The Strategic Services Division provides administrative, technical, subject matter expertise and logistical support to several U.S. government agencies with the U.S. Department of State being one of our primary clients. This Division will also focus on USG funded projects designed to support US government agencies that have mandates to conduct counter narcotics and counter terrorism programs both domestically and overseas.
