Arlington, VA – September 15, 2008 - PRO-telligent, LLC welcomes Michael T. Horn as the company’s new Vice President, Special Operations Division. Mr. Horn comes to PRO-telligent after a distinguished 36-year career with the Department of Justice. Mr. Horn served 31 years with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), retiring as the Chief of International Operations. In that capacity, Mr. Horn was responsible for all facets of DEA’s operations in 62 cities overseas. Mr. Horn also served as Special Agent in Charge of the DOJ’s Special Operations Division, a multi-agency taskforce charged with overseeing high-profile and sensitive counter narcotic and operations. Other DEA assignments included Chief of Technical Operations and supervisory assignments in Ankara, Turkey, Kuala Lumpur Malaysia as well as tours in Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York City, and Atlantic City.

Upon his retirement from the DEA in 1999, Attorney General Reno appointed Mr. Horn Director of the National Drug Intelligence Center in Johnstown, PA. In that capacity Mr. Horn, oversaw the production of strategic narcotic threat assessments for federal, state and local policy-makers including the Director of the Office National Drug Control policy.

During his career, Mr. Horn received numerous awards and commendations, including the Presidential Rank Award for Meritorious Service. FBI Director Mueller personally cited Mr. Horn for his support to the Federal Bureau of Investigation in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks.

Following his career with the USG, Mr. Horn served as an independent consultant providing homeland security, law enforcement, and intelligence subject matter expertise to foreign, federal, state, and local agencies.
